What are the opening and closing hours in the Park?
In the summer months the Park opens at 9.15am and closes at 5.30pm , winter opening hours are 8.30am until 5pm. Again it is always advisable to check our website.
Is the Castle open for Guided Tours?
The Castle is opened for Guided Tours in the summer season and limited Tours are available for the winter months although it is advisable to check our website.
How far is it from the Visitor Centre to the Castle?
It is 4km from the Visitor Centre to the Castle.
Is there a Shuttle Bus Service available within the Park?
Yes there is a Shuttle Bus Service available within the Park; again it is advisable to check our Website on availability in the winter months.
Is their food available within the Park?
The Tearoom at the Castle is open all year round except for Good Friday and for the Christmas Holidays.
The Restaurant at the Visitors Centre is open from Easter until September.
Is there a credit card facility within the Park?
Yes there is a credit card facility at the Visitor Centre and Castle.
Are dogs allowed in the Park?
Yes dogs are allowed in the park but not on the park bus or in buildings. Guide dogs have access to all areas of the park. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
Are there various walking routes in the Park?
Yes there are various walking routes in the Park by making enquiries at the Visitor Centre a guide will inform you of these routes.
We also provide a service on a Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays where at a cost of €3 (€2 concession) a bus would leave you at the beginning of two walking Routes the Lough Inshagh walk and the Bridle path walk.
