Every Wednesday from 10.30am-5pm in the Summer

 

Take a closer look at the plants, animals and insects of Your National Park with fun, hands on activities for all ages in the Nature Centre

Help out with our Butterfly and Bumblebee Survey

Arts, crafts, story writing and telling and much more!

Special Certificate and Prize for children who come along for any 4 or more of the days – if you’re a regular visitor ask for your Nature Explorer Log Book and collect the stamps!

The Park is open daily from 9am - 6pm

Free facilities: Car Park, Visitor Centre, Audio Visual, Nature Centre, Castle Gardens

A bus will leave the Visitor Centre at 10am going to the Lough Inshagh Gate & the Head of the Glen walking trails on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.

A new charge will apply from 13/4/13 of €2 per adult. Children Free. This ticket covers the shuttle bus from the castle back to the visitor centre.

Restaurant & Gift Shop at Visitor Centre Open from 10.30am - 5pm everyday until September. Gift Shop open until 5.30pm

Please note: Dogs are permitted in the park but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not permitted entry to buildings, Castle Gardens & park buses.
