Garden Discovery Day

Hands on fun for all the family in our beautiful cottage garden.

Wednesday’s 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd of August  from 10.30am to 4pm


Family Nature Walk

Explore upper end of the park with the education guides.  Borrow a discovery bag for children and take part in hands on activities along the way.  €5.00 per adult, children free.  Please book at castle reception.

Walk leaving from the  front of the castle at 2.30pm on Sunday 6th, 20th, & 27th August.


Nature Detective Day

Thursday 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th August from  12.00 to 4pm

Come and explore our wonderful woodlands, take part in a fun map challenge, and find lots of different hands on activities in our secret cabin in the woods each week!.  Why not bring a picnic too?


Bank Holiday Monday 7th August

Family nature walk from Stalker’s Hut.  Book a place on our trail walkers bus at 10am from the car park.  Enjoy the walk down the Bridle Path and meet the education guides at the Stalker’s Hut from 11am.  Toast marshmallows by the camp fire, traditional music and nature crafts.


Nature Awareness Day

Nature Awareness Day in partnership with Inland Fisheries.  Sunday  27th August 12 – 4pm

Come and learn about life in our freshwater habitat and have fun meeting some of our fish and insect species from the rivers and lake.
